The aftermath...

(Note: This event had occur on the 19th of May 2006,so please adjust your biological clock or just imagine that you had miraculously traveled back in time…)

Yup…the day had cometh!!! The ending of examinations(for Chemical Engineering Year 1 students only)…at least for the 2nd Semester, that’s something to be happy about…for the time being…which also means that the holidays had officially begun for us!!! Summer break…see, although in Malaysia have no 4 seasons, still got Summer break…in a way ler =P Everyone was excited, everyone was overjoyed, everyone was screaming their lungs out…but as tradition goes…group picture time ; )

“Historical event” picture taken outside the Great Hall(where the last paper was held) at the staircase…spot the 2 people who didn’t took the paper =P (Answers are within the next few pictures in RED)

The infamous “Look over there” picture that makes people wonder…“Why are they looking over there?”

Delegates from the TTS area, from Left to Right: Wilson,Eddie(CSIT student who had been an “adopted Chemical Engineering Student”),ME,Yau Fee,Wee Kiat(New kid on the block in TTS,Foundation in Business Student)

Once that had been done, each went their separate ways to spend the rest of the day doing something “eventful”…mainly its either Karaoke session in KL or a 3-Combo ice skating/bowling/watching movie in Sunway Pyramid…my choice, would definitely be Sunway Pyramid…haha, sorry not a person very fond of Karaoke…

Had Teppanyaki for lunch when we arrived…ordered the Salmon Teppanyaki cuz it was on promotion, who can say no to half-priced meals(originally RM14.90…if I re-called correctly)…sorry no picture and the meal was kinda oily, but still ok-ok

Then,it was off to the arcade to kill time before the movie begins…somehow ice-skating was not so favourable among the majority(including me),so got cancelled…2 rounds of arcade-racing-goodness of Daytona…poor Yau Fee,he couldn’t join BOTH the race due to misfortunate “poor-choosing of workable coin slot machine”…so had to “race sendiri”…TWICE =P

Movie time!!! Watched Mission Impossible 3…not bad…if compared to the previous ones,I would prefer MI:3>MI:1>MI:2…the plot is in a way almost like MI:1,watch it to find out what I meant…some scenes are super-fake in real life situations, but remember…its just a movie
; P Oh and keep a look-out for an “Easter Egg” of Malaysian Airlines advertising in a particular scene…corny yet maybe effective =P

And the last event was…BOWLING!!!(No pictures again) One of the oldest games being played since the Stone Age(evidence: Fred Flintstone plays bowling,Yaba-Daba-Doo =P ) It had been a very long time since I lifted those 3-holed balls which are too heavy to be kicked(you could kick it,but it is not advisable to do so)…so everyone is on the same level…no experts or professionals…last time maybe, but now it isn’t…it boils down to maybe 5% skill and 95% luck…Only manage to get 1 lane…for like 7 PLAYERS?!! Yau Fee and Eddie were both good…ehem*ehem*…“last time”…as they continuously tried to spin the ball but to no avail, the gutter welcomes them with open arms…and the girls proved that speed and strength does not matter in bowling by performing the elegantly “slow yet accurate throw” which knocks down the pins ala’ Dominoes style…earning a XStrikeX once in a while…simply marvelous~I cant really spin the ball,so I usually go for straight line speed…haha, learnt from F1 =P Alas, the highest score inevitability goes to…ME…haha,lucky-nya…scored around 100 to 130 something I think…but no XStrikesX though <=( Only played 1 round as time is scarce, anyone for 2nd rounds next time? <=P After that,it was time to part…they went to Asia Cafe in Subang Jaya(near Taylors College) to makan…and as for me,I went back home of course after a day of splendour…(Ok,now you can return back to the present now…Bzzzzttt =P )

(So sorry for not updating soon enough as I was patiently waiting for pictures to arrive in my hands and also was stuck in Semenyih(internet-less) for quite a number of days before I am OFFICIALLY back at home…so you would see a few more of these “past entries” coming soon =P And to those who are still going through their studies/examinations/industrial-training,I didn’t intend to offend you…rest assured it’ll be done soon enough…GAMBATEH!!! >=D )

Nottingham Annual Dinner~2005/06(Very overdued…)

Hello, its been a long time since I’ve “exercised” my fingers typing out another entry…thought I was long-gone dead…have you not? Haha, just another long term chain of crisis~obtaining the pictures, getting sick, rushing for handing-in assignments, getting lazy, etc… After all those were overcomed, then only I’ve decided to update my mundane blog that had been left unattended, where visitors wondered what had become of this blog…everytime they re-visit,only to see my face and “look-alikes” staring back blankly at them(please refer to previous post) =P It doesn’t matter, cuz as you can guess from the title, which suggested the next few mouse clicks away, consists of pictures from the Nottingham Annual Dinner itself(dated: 14 April 2006,venue: Mandarin Oriental Hotel in KL)…take note that this might be a “new” news for those who aren’t acquanted with me…enough ramblings for now(I’ve just nothing much to say anyways),proceed to view the pictures at your pleasure…

First are the group pictures first…

This one consists mostly all guys only…wearing ties, black coats, one person who wore an “outstanding” coloured long-sleeved shirt…(in case you “still” didn’t notice,it’s the guy in the middle…RED)

Now to counter-balance the amount of testosterone-leveled in the previous picture…addition of girls=more people=more varied coloured clothes=well-balanced picture =)

Practicing for Yam-Seng session later(with the bride and bridegroom of course) using nice looking glass which is filled with white wine…no ler, water only…Oh well,at least it beats Semenyih water(containing high percentage of ammonia!!!)...wait a second,we’re in the correct ballroom for a wedding…rite? Hmmm…

This picture was taken almost at the end of the dinner event…mostly everyone were still dancing at the front though…tired&lazy ones sat here =P

Another big group picture…running out of words to describe this,so I’ll just open a contest here, photo caption of less than 25 words…winner gets to pick anyone from this picture for a date…I am not liable for anything that happens after that =P

Now,for smaller grouped pictures…so that you can see more of me~mah…Haha, shiok sendiri =P

Start with “guys only” picture again…(Left to Right: Kiwi,Yau Fee,Kelvin,Me)

Together with the lovely Yean Yen…nice hairdo at the back…too bad couldnt view from this picture, lets just say it looks something like a sea-urchin,seriously! =P

I wanna eat…will pose in picture for food(Left to Right: Me,Yean Yen,Hui Jiun)

Haha,guy-guy picture time…Fang Chin in his black coat with his infamous “I am Fang Chin smile”(Copyrighted)

It’s Pin Pin without her spectacles…and errr…me without my long hair,LOL(what, now only noticed?!! =P )

That’s Su YinNg Su Yin(have to clarify this…),not any other Su Yin’s…and the “shortened”(as seen from this picture) guy on the right is Chi Ming…the only Chi Ming a.k.a Cheese that you’ve ever heard(hafta clarify this too =P )

Pei Wen gives medical attention to “constipated” looking person…

Red,Blue and Black…From Left to Right: Me,Lauren and Yau Fee…nice contrast of colours, like advertising for Dry Paint commercial =P

Another nice looking photo…haha,obviously…(ok-ok not me in this case, see my face too often already)…Yenli in her white “flower girl” dress, looks so nice on her…Hmm,looks like she just came straight away from a wedding,no? =P

Shoes and sandals…look closely, and you’ll notice something odd about mine(Note to self: Get new pair of nice shoes =P )

Well…it was an eventful night I must say…putting aside the rain…which in turn caused major traffic jam…which in turn, the event started late(at first thought we’ve missed it)…mediocre performances and also who could ever forget about the so called “5 Star hotel food”(take a look in Fang Chin’s blog, judge em’ for yourselves)…dancing at a small portion of the Grand Ballroom…walking on the Red carpet…using the “extraordinaire” washroom…which tallied up to RM100 for an entry ticket, per person…was it worth it? In a way yes and in a way no…at least get to share the experience together with coursemates before some of em’ leave for UK(1 year only,no worries =P )…at least get to really see some of the girls transform into “something different” on that peculiar night, guys different story ler…same-same only(not really Queer Eye for the Straight Guy standard =P )…at least get to go somewhere instead of getting stuck at home…again(although RM100 being spent…well, the girls would’ve been spending more though =P ),etc…
(Note to self: Get a coat for the next grand event, most probably ending up borrowing one instead of buying one, sigh~)

I think that’s all for now…would not be updating for quite some time,as exam looms again….as I burrow myself into books and lecture notes(last minute stuff) within this 1 week of “Study Break”…I bid good luck to everyone else and take care of your health,as I’ve just only recovered from my “exam sickness”…All the best…Gambateh!!! >=D

Haha,I couldn’t help it but post this final picture(among the other numerous ones)…I hope the other guys wouldn’t mind though ; P

Coming soon to a theatre near you…Brother Red and his lackeys…the next Infernal Affairs movie?!!…rated PG-18 >=P
